Recovery Ministry
Recognizing that many in our church and community struggle with addictions, starting in March 2011 our church is providing referrals to trusted ministries and local 12-step groups for those struggling with alcohol, overeating, or sexual addiction, as well as for the hurting spouses/family members of those who struggle with addictions. We believe there is hope in Christ and in gathering in groups that provide understanding and accountability. For more info, you may confidentially email us at recovery@sherwoodpres.org. We will refer you (and sometimes be able to accompany you) to local meetings of:
- Celebrate Recovery (a Christian 12-step group)
- For Men Only - a group for men struggling with sexual addictions
- Hidden Hurts - a group for women whose spouse or fiance or boyfriend struggles with sexual purity
- Alcoholics Anonymous
- Overeaters Anonymous
